0.5 deciliter apple cider vinegar
0.15 tablespoon black peppercorns

Wash the onion.
Remove the outer layer from the onion.
Cut the onion into thin slices.

Add water, sugar, and apple cider vinegar into the pot.
Boil while stirring. Add black peppercorns when the sugar has dissolved.
Add sliced red onion into the pot.
Boil and remove the pot from the cooktop.
Let the pot cool down.
Pour into mason jar and store cold. Edible for at least two weeks if stored in a refridgerator.
You can also experiment with other tastes like garlic or chili peppers.
