Stable is a hand drawn puzzle video game where you move a hand to grip and sort shapes into boxes. Until the end of time. Or when you're done pooping. We don't check.

Team of two

I'm building this game together with a friend at work. He programs, I draw. We both throw silly ideas up, down, and around. It's great!

Game idea

In Stable, you grip and move shapes from the tube, and sort them into boxes. Over time, trinkets, artifacts, and doodads can cause the tube to constipate. Pull them out of the tube and into your collection.

There's a possibility that the tube may not be a tube.

Visual concept

I put the pencil to paper and drew quick sketches that focus on what you, the player, do in Stable, and how that looks in my head.

Loose ideas

A physical reward when you reach a score above a threshold. Should be super difficult to achieve, like in the top 1%. Show an in-game message on how to obtain your reward.

Tube can get constipated and might explode when trinkets, artifacts, or doodads get stuck in the tube opening. You need to pull the thing out of the tube end to release the plug.

Achievements. Yep.

Doodiary. Thingytome. Thingiary. Something that can hold and present your collected goodies to you.

Grep. Grep is a four fingered hand, and the player character in Stable.

Inspiration

Stable was inspired by games like Thank Goodness You're Here, Wilmot Works It Out.
